GK Enchanted Farm (GKEF), the first farm village university in Asia, is now enjoying the benefits of PHILERGY`German Solar Power in Angat, Bulacan. GKEF is Gawad Kalinga’s platform to raise social entrepreneurs, help our local farmers and create wealth in the countryside. They believe that the Philippines is abundant with resources, and the unlimited power of the sun is no different and should not be left behind.
Now, savings from the solar systems installed can be used to further the organization’s impact.
Two beautiful solar systems on Berjaya Garden Restaurant & Culinary Center (BGRCC) and the new Plush and Play Workshop were installed in less than 2 days.
Together, they account for 21 avoided tons of CO2 per year what is the equivalent of 3,000 gallons of gasoline consumed or 28,500 pounds of coal burned. Savings on electric bill of about 400,000 php per year can now be harnessed to support the farm’s projects.
